Product Overview
The height and diameter of the steel plate silo can be selected within a large range, with a height of 6-32m and a diameter of 2.7-30m. The distance between two warehouses is less than 80cm. It occupies less land and has strong adaptability. The warehouse types range from 10 tons to 12000 tons and are widely used in grain depots, flour mills, rice mills, feed mills, starch mills, oil mills, distilleries, seed companies, ports, farms, grain processing centers and other units. It is a storage equipment for storing granular grain and powdered materials.
Structural Introduction
Warehouse top part
The silo roof adopts an umbrella-shaped structure. Its framework is made of galvanized C-section steel, while the roof covering is constructed from hot-dip galvanized steel sheets. Each silo is equipped with a feeding port, an inspection port, natural ventilation openings, a safety ladder, safety guardrails and other auxiliary facilities.
Part of siloThe wall of the steel silo is made of high-quality hot-dip galvanized corrugated steel plates. Its mechanical properties, including yield strength, tensile strength and elongation, conform to the material standards for steel silos in the United States.
The steel plates are connected and sealed by high-strength galvanized bolts. The joints between plates are equipped with high-temperature-resistant, non-hardening and anti-aging rubber gaskets.
Vertical stiffeners are installed on the silo wall, which can be either internal or external, and can be selected according to the type of stored grain. These stiffeners effectively improve the silo’s seismic resistance, lateral resistance, vertical load capacity and structural stability.
Adopting bolted assembly, all components are standard parts. The silo features light weight, high strength, easy and fast disassembly, short construction period, low cost, attractive appearance and long service life.
Warehouse bottom part
Steel Cone Bottom:For warehouses with a capacity of less than 1,500 tons and a diameter under 12 meters, a steel cone bottom is an ideal option. It enables complete gravity discharge of materials without manual cleaning.
The steel cone bottom structure consists of GB H-section steel columns, steel ring beams, conical hoppers, and bracing members, etc. All connecting bolts meet the national standard Grade 8.8 or higher. Installation is efficient and convenient.
Laser cutting is adopted in factory production, ensuring high precision and standardization in line with uniform specifications. This type of cone-bottom steel silo is particularly suitable for storing granular and highly viscous powdery materials.
Cement Cone Bottom:The cement cone bottom is available in three types: full cone, half cone, and flat base. For silos with a diameter of less than 15 meters, a full cone bottom is typically adopted. Made of reinforced concrete, this large funnel-shaped base allows for complete gravity flow of grain.
When the silo diameter is excessively large, the height of the full cone bottom becomes impractical, so a half-cone or flat-bottom design is generally used instead. The half-cone bottom cannot fully discharge materials, while the flat-bottom design requires multiple discharge outlets. Manual cleaning or a spiral cleaning machine is often needed for material removal.
The selection of the cone bottom type is determined by specific factors such as the user’s geological conditions, material costs, and construction difficulty, ultimately aiming for a cost-effective and rational solution.

Insulated warehouse
External insulation layer, such as thermal insulation cotton and polyurethane, is required to be 80mm-100mm thick, and the outer surface is insulated with various colors of steel plate.
